2008-2009 Committees

Common Plantings Committee Heads:  Each Committee Head will organize a clean up in the months designated for the Commons and Herb Garden                      

 Ruth Goold, Dottie Freeman and LaVerne Garvin will tend to Horse Trough, Veterans Memorials, Library Planter               

Hospitality:Calls members and reminds them that they have signed up for the monthly refreshments, assists in the clean-up if necessary

Community Service:Organizes the gift drive for a local nursing home, decorates the Town Common and the Old Schoolhouse at Christmas, Decorates the wreaths for the Veterans Memorials in Norton, and Collects food for the local Food Pantry

Ways and Means:Plans and Chairs Fundraising activities for the Club

Library:Coordinates the circulation of the garden club free lending library to members

Scrapbook:Maintains scrapbook. The entire membership is encouraged to clip articles related to the Club.

Sunshine:Responsible for acknowledging special events, i.e., get wells, thank you's

Publicity/Web Master:Prepares monthly meeting reminders for local newspapers, coordinates and prepares press releases related to garden club events, maintains web page

Nominating Committee: Responsible for nominating a slate of officers to the garden club
